Global brand development, entertainment and marketing platform Authentic Brands Group (Authentic), has announced that it has signed three foundational licensing partners for Ted Baker in the US and Canada. The new line-up includes United Legwear & Apparel Co. (ULAC), BCI Brands and Peerless Clothing.

“Ted Baker is an iconic high street brand known around the world for its classic British designs,” said Jarrod Weber, Global President, Sports and Lifestyle at Authentic. “Establishing a new and vibrant core business in the US and Canada is an essential building block in the revitalization of this brand. Today, we have announced strategic partnerships with three valued Authentic partners that will strengthen Ted Baker’s presence, enhance its credibility and forge lasting relationships with leading retailers in the US and Canada.”

United Legwear & Apparel Co. will design and manufacture the Ted Baker-branded men’s sportswear, golf and denim categories. It will also be responsible for all wholesale and concession stores and operate Tedbaker.us and Tedbaker.ca for the US and Canada.

Recently, as SGI reported, Authentic announced a long-term partnership for Reebok in the UK and Europe.

Authentic’s brands have an expansive retail footprint in 150 countries, including 13,000-plus freestanding stores, shop-in-shops and 400,000 points of sale. The company portfolio contains brands as Reebok, Rockport, Quiksilver, Billabong, Volcom, Spyder, Roxy, Shaquille O’Neal and David Beckham, among others.
