Stefan Rosenkranz

The board of the Federal Association of the German Sporting Goods Industry (BSI) has appointed Stefan Rosenkranz as its new managing director. Rosenkranz will take up his new position on Feb. 1, 2021, taking the place of NIcole Espey, who left at the beginning of this year. Thomas Schmid, in charge of policy matters, has been running BSI in the interim. Most recently, Rosenkranz worked as a business consultant for digitization processes. Prior to that, he held various management positions within the sporting goods industry, including more than seven years with Marker, more than seven years with Fischer Sports and almost 10 years as managing director of Oberalp Germany (Salewa, Dynafit, Wild Country, Pomoca). Rosenkranz will report to the newly elected board of directors of BSI, which consists of Markus A. Kürten (Adidas), Peter N. Baehr (Puma) and Jan Lorch (Vaude). The members of BSI also elected the new executive committee of BSI during their regular general meeting on Nov. 30. It consists of Wolfgang Kraus (Fashy), Johannes Maier (Eurotramp), Andreas Kübler (Kübler Sport), Christian Schneidermeier (Ortovox), Frank Hölscher (Hölscher), Henrik Holzapfel (H+P), Andreas Schechinger (Tatonka), Udo Stenzel (Marker Dalbello Völkl) and Johannes Schumann (Amer Sports Germany).
