Crypto.com: The platform for cryptocurrencies

On Crypto’s platforms, users can invest in various cryptocurrencies. Already 10 million users trust the company founded in 2016. For Crypto, it is not the first involvement in sports: in 2021, it took over the arena’s naming rights in Los Angeles from office supplier Staples. Since then, the NBA and NHL arena is no longer called Staples Center but Crypto.com Arena. Crypto also sponsors basketball, ice hockey, football and MMA.

FIFA.com states about the partnership: “Crypto.com will activate its official sponsorship of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 in many ways, also by providing opportunities for new and existing users to attend matches during the tournament or win exclusive merchandise.”

Byju’s: Educational Tech Company from India

The company is named after the first name of its founder and CEO, Byju Raveendran. Within ten years, he has managed to export his digital product to 120 countries and acquire 150 million learners. “Sport is a big part of life and brings together people across the world. Just as football inspires billions, we at BYJU’S hope to inspire the love of learning in every child’s life through this partnership,” says Byju about its commitment as an official FIFA World Cup sponsor. During the World Cup, Byju’s will “run unique promotions to connect with passionate football fans around the world. It will also create engaging and creative content with educational messages as part of a multifaceted activation plan.”

Mengniuir: Chinese dairy products manufacturer

Mengniuir, one of the most important food manufacturers in China, might be relatively unknown in the rest of the world. Back in 2018, Mengniuir wanted to change that and was already an official sponsor of the FIFA World Cup in Russia at the time. The Chinese are once again involved in the World Cup in Qatar. Mengniuir wants to become an internationally known brand for dairy products, and to achieve this, the company will carry out branding and promotional activities in the World Cup stadiums and be present on FIFA’s online and mobile channels.

Vivo joins as smartphone sponsor

Vivo was also already involved in 2018. The smartphone manufacturer will be featured at every match on courtside advertising boards, match tickets, media releases and other key advertising platforms.

Other sponsors are Budweiser, HiSense and McDonald’s. Nothing was disclosed about the individual brands’ contracts and terms with FIFA.

FIFA’s six long-term partners are Adidas, Hyundai, Coca-Cola, Wanda, Qatar Airways and VISA. The World Cup will be held from Nov. 21 to Dec. 18, 2022.
