Apple launches its largest-ever international rollout of Fitness+ across 28 new markets, introducing Korean pop playlists, AI-generated dubbing in Spanish, German, Japanese, and enhanced integration with Apple devices, signaling a major push into global fitness services.
Apple is dramatically widening the reach of its Fitness+ service, launching in 28 additional markets on December 15 in what the company described as the largest international rollout since the service began. According to Apple’s announcement, the expansion increases Fitness+ availability to 49 countries and regions, with Japan scheduled to follow in early 2026.
New markets and reach
The new markets include a broad mix of European, Asian, Latin American and other countries named by Apple and technology outlets, among them Chile, Hong Kong, India, the Netherlands, Singapore, Taiwan, Norway, Poland, the Philippines, Sweden and Vietnam. Industry reporting shows the December 15 expansion brings Fitness+ to many markets where Apple has been building local services and integrations.
AI voice dubbing in three languages
Apple said hundreds of Fitness+ sessions will initially be offered with digitally generated voice dubbing in Spanish and German, with Japanese dubbing to arrive when Fitness+ launches in Japan. The dubbing system uses generated voices modelled on each trainer’s real voice, and Apple said new dubbed episodes will be released weekly across supported regions. Users can select a preferred language in the Fitness app or switch audio tracks after starting a session. Technology coverage noted the app will default to the dubbed track when a user’s preferred language is available.
K-Pop workouts and music integration
Alongside the geographic expansion and dubbing, Apple is adding a K-Pop music category to Fitness+, making the genre available across all workout types. Reports place the new category alongside existing playlists such as Upbeat Anthems, Latest Hits, Hip-Hop/R&B and Latin Grooves, reflecting the deep Apple Music integration that underpins Fitness+ programming and curated Artist Spotlight playlists.
Core features and device integration
Apple reiterated the core breadth of Fitness+ programming: 12 workout and wellness types including Strength, Yoga, HIIT, Pilates, Dance, Cycling, Kickboxing and Meditation, with sessions ranging roughly from five to 45 minutes and optimised for iPhone, iPad and Apple TV. The company also highlighted the tighter experience with Apple Watch and AirPods, where users see real-time metrics on screen, heart rate, calories burned, and Activity ring progress, and can leverage features such as the Burn Bar. These product details were outlined in Apple’s newsroom and corroborated by reporting in India.
Pricing and promotions
Subscription terms remain unchanged: Fitness+ is offered at $9.99 (€9.60) per month or $79.99 (€76.80) per year in the U.S., and can be shared with up to five family members. Apple continues promotional practice of including three months of Fitness+ for customers who buy a new Apple Watch, iPhone, iPad or Apple TV capable of running the latest OS, or eligible audio devices purchased from Apple or authorised resellers. Local pricing for new markets was reported for India at Rs 149 per month or Rs 999 per year.
New Time to Walk episode
Apple also noted new content releases on its adjunct audio series: the latest Time to Walk episode features Japanese Formula 1 driver Yuki Tsunoda and is available immediately, a detail highlighted across technology outlets covering the expansion.
