The German Sport 2000 Running Division held another Product Day in mid-February. Around 30 retailers and 70 participants, including both specialists and generalists with a running focus, came to SportCentrum Kaiserau in Kamen to test and assess new shoe models and innovations for the spring/summer 2023 season. 15 brands – Adidas, Altra, Asics, Brooks, Diadora, Hoka, Karhu, Mizuno, New Balance, On, Puma, Salomon, Saucony, Scott and True Motion – provided their latest shoe models and novelties for testing. Falke and sports nutrition expert Maurten were also present.

Three training workshops took place the following day. Falke and True Motion provided information on the impact of shoes and socks on injury risk, among other things. As part of the presentation, university professor Dr. Gert-Peter Brüggemann introduced a new injury study to the retailers. In addition, participants were able to take part in a running technique session with a professional triathlon coach or dive into the topic of anatomy and biomechanics regarding the use of soles together with Currex.

The sales training that took place at the same time focused primarily on enhancing the shopping experience. The focus was on inspiring customers with the advantages of brick-and-mortar retail over the Internet. Strategies were developed to bring quality advice and perfect service to life through tangible added value and thus generate maximum revenue.

The next Sport 2000 Product Day for the FW2023 season is scheduled for mid-August.
