Following the global 5-year strategic plan ”Winning together” released in February this year, Fila Holdings Corp. is reorganizing key global teams, announcing a change in marketing and design leadership to strengthen the company’s organizational capabilities.
The global design team is led by Torsten Hochstetter, and the new Futura innovation team by former Adidas executive Mikal Peveto. Both teams report to global strategic marketing director Luca Bertolino. The two new teams will oversee all aspects of global product development and technology.
Hochstetter comes to Fila from Puma, where he was global creative director. Earlier in his career, he was Adidas’ creative director for sportstyle. Reporting to him are Nike veteran and new Fila head of global apparel and accessories Paola Loglisci as well as Mark Eggert, most recently SVP of footwear and apparel design at Fila USA, who was elevated to head of global footwear.
The Futura team under Peveto focuses on performance footwear, technology and sustainability and brings together some veterans of the footwear industry: former Under Armour GM of the Curry brand David Bond is design director, while Mark Sheehan, also most recently at Under Armour, is development director. Bond’s and Sheehan’s resumes span just about every sneaker brand, having both started their careers at Nike in the 1990s. Jason Stewart, the director of running concepts at Adidas, has joined Fila as technical director of the Futura team.
The two newly built teams are operating under Fila Luxembourg S.a.r.L., a subsidiary of Fila Holdings that oversees the brand’s global trademarks except for in China, Hong Kong and Macao, which are managed by Anta Sports.
