Adidas has launched the Football Collective in London, Paris, Berlin, New York, Los Angeles and Tokyo. A form of federation of local individuals and clubs, the Football Collective intends to foster social changes through football. It will be working with local initiatives already set up under the Adidas Football Collective badge and seeking out other individuals, organizations and clubs elsewhere in the world to collaborate with. According to a video the company has released, Adidas will be supplying 10,000 kits to European teams and 200,000 jerseys and balls to American teams, establishing 70 mini-pitches in the U.S., providing 500 hours of five-aside football for girls in Paris, opening eight cages in six of London’s boroughs, and recruiting more than 100 female players in Japan.
