When it comes to e-commerce in mountain sporting goods Decathlon reigns supreme in Spain. Drawing from Google analytics and data gathered by the SEO company Sistrix, CMDsport has evaluated the performance of the country’s top e-tailers with a list of 32 best-selling product types, such as tents, skis, ski boots, gloves, crampons, trekking shoes, snowboards, GPS devices, goggles and apparel.
Decathlon Spain figures in the top ten e-tailers for 18 of those 32 product categories, more than any other outfitter. These categories include tents, skis, climbing shoes and harnesses, crampons, snowshoes, mountain boots, fleeces, sleeping bags, trekking shoes, snowboard decks and boots, and mountain backpacks. Next comes Amazon (16 top-ten placements), followed by the local firms Deporvillage (14) and El Corte Inglés (11), then Campz (10), Sprinter and Barrabés (both 9), TrekkInn (a branch of TradeInn, 8), Forum Sport (5), Glisshop (4), and Zalando and Vertic Outdoor (both 3).
