Just a few hours after JD Sports announced it would become Nike’s first European retail partner for the brand’s Connected Partnership program, Zalando has spread the news that it will be Nike’s partner in Germany, Austria, Benelux, France, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Italy and Poland for the same integrated customer loyalty concept. According to the company statement, the onsite experience will go live in all ten markets where Nike participates in Zalando’s partner program, starting with Austria in October.
Through the connected membership that links Zalando and Nike membership programs, customers can access member-exclusive Nike products and experiences. “As the first stop for fashion, we want to offer our customers not only the best assortment, but also a unique experience on our platform. Through the expanded partnership with Nike, we can now offer our customers an even more relevant selection of Nike’s innovative sports and lifestyle products and additional benefits for Nike members,” says David Schneider, Zalando’s co-CEO.
According to JD Sports’ press release earlier the same day, the British retailer will host the Nike Connected Partnership program in its home country U.K. for the time being.
