FIFA has announced that the club lifting the brand-new FIFA Women’s Champions Cup Trophy in 2026 will receive US$2.3 million (€2.2 million). It is “the highest single payout ever awarded in women’s club football,” according to the world football’s governing body. The runners-up will earn $1 million (€950,000).

The FIFA Women’s Champions Cup brings together the champion clubs from each of the six continental confederations for that calendar year to determine the world’s premier women’s club team. The final of the tournament’s inaugural edition will be played on Sunday 1 February 2026 at the Arsenal Stadium in London, where the first women’s intercontinental club champions will be crowned.

In addition to the prize money awarded to the finalists, the two sides that reach the semi-finals will each receive $200,000 in participation payments. The two teams eliminated in Round 1 and Round 2 will receive $100,000 and $150,000, respectively. A total payout of close to $4 million will therefore be distributed among the six participants, based on their performance.

This prize structure is said to reflect FIFA’s commitment to accelerating investment and excellence in the women’s club game globally. Following the conclusion of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023, US$11.3 million was paid out to 1,041 clubs around the world through the FIFA Club Benefits Program, said the governing body.
