Global expansion were the key words for Brooks in 2024. The Seattle-based company realized a 228 percent year-over-year sales growth rate in China in 2024 and expanded its U.S. specialty retail channel business by 19 percent.

Strong results in France and Germany, where the brand grew two and three times higher than the performance running market growth rate in each country, contributed to Brooks Running’s 9 percent year-over-year sales increase last year. Additionally, the Seattle-based company realized a 228 percent year-over-year sales growth rate in China in 2024 and expanded its U.S. specialty retail channel business by 19 percent. 

“The sun is shining on the performance running category, and we continue to welcome new people into the sport and our brand,” commented Dan Sheridan, Brooks CEO. US running event participation jumped by 8 percent last year, according to RunSignUp’s Year in Review, and running is considered the fastest-growing social sport on the global app Strava.

All of Brooks’ core footwear franchises introduced new versions last year for the first time since 2021, helping to accelerate full-price sales of the brand by 12 percent. The company launched its global brand platform, “Let’s Run There” in 2024. The campaign is aimed at inspiring people to run their own path. And after reaching 1 million loyalty program members in North America, the Brooks Run Club extended its reach to the EMEA with a Q4 launch in the UK. The group intends to expand the program to other countries this year.
