Intersport has now reinforced its commitment to football with a deal involving EA Sports FC 26, which launches worldwide on Sept. 26.
This follows a successful collaboration on EA Sports FC 25 and underscores Intersport’s strategy to connect and engage with a wide range of consumers and sport enthusiasts, in this case digitally native fans of the “beautiful game.”
The continued partnership will see Intersport enhance its in-game brand presence. Players will have free access to an exclusive, custom-made Intersport vanity kit with home and away jerseys from December, while the Intersport name will be present on pitch-side LED boards in both Football Ultimate Team and Rush & Club modes. In addition, players will be able to spot the iconic Intersport brand in the stands through its very own tifo display and on one of the stadium themes. To generate excitement around the new partnership, Intersport is also running a global social giveaway competition for copies of EA Sports FC 26 on the Intersport Instagram channel, while the football community will soon get to vote on which away vanity kit will be launched within the game.
Furthermore, EA Sports FC 26 branding and content will be present at Intersport stores, with in-store activations and tournament competitions, as the retailer continues to maximize its vast hyperlocal network of physical spaces. This includes the creation of the Intersport Football Store – the brand’s latest category-specialist retail concept. Such stores have opened this year in Greece, Turkey and the Netherlands, with more to come elsewhere in Europe.
In fiscal year 2025, EA, one of the world’s most well-known developers of digital interactive entertainment, posted GAAP net revenue of approximately $7.5 billion.
