Tara McRae, who until recently led Puma’s Marketing and Brand Strategy in North America, will immediately switch roles.
Puma continues to overhaul its management. After last week’s new CEO and CCO, the German company has appointed 48-year-old Tara McRae as President of Puma North America (PNA).
McRae, who until recently led Puma’s Marketing and Brand Strategy in North America, will immediately take over the role from Bob Philion, who is leaving after 20 years with the company and eight as President of PNA to pursue other opportunities.
“With McRae, we have appointed a leader with a great understanding of our consumers, our industry, and the North American market,” said Puma Chief Commercial Officer Matthias Bäumer.
McRae rejoined Puma as Senior Vice President, Brand and Strategy in 2024. Before that, she worked at Clarks as Global Chief Marketing Officer and Digital Officer. She also served as the first Chief Marketing Officer at TB12, Tom Brady’s global health and wellness brand. Early in her career, from 2006 to 2016, she worked where she works now, at Puma North America, holding positions in the media planning and sports marketing departments before taking on marketing responsibilities for the region.
McRae is also a strategic advisor for Relentless Consumer Partners, and her work has earned her industry recognition on multiple occasions. She was notably on Forbes’ Entrepreneurial CMO 50 list for 2024.
